Ingredients:

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon instant yeast
  • 1/2 cup warm water (110°F)
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cardamom
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Oil for frying
  • 1/4 cup date syrup (for drizzling)

Instructions:

  • In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, salt, and instant yeast.
  • Add warm water gradually while mixing until a smooth batter forms.

  • Cover the bowl with a cloth and let it rest for 20 minutes to rise.
  • Heat oil in a deep pan over medium heat.
  • Using a spoon, drop small balls of the batter into the hot oil.

  • Drizzle with date syrup before serving.
